Dot's Spot

Dot had her last Pc shot today, and a quick doctor visit, which we combined with her Grandma’s visit. We all like to see the doctor together, hehe. She has grown an entire inch and two pounds since the last visit a couple of months ago! I can’t get her to sit still for an exam by anyone; she doesn’t even like me messing with her! She was scared the whole time since she comes to expect a shot (although she has very few) but she managed to relax enough to actually show off for the doctor. She pointed out shapes, read some words by showing actions and sign language, and even spoke a couple of words. He is pleased with her physical progress, amazed at her intellectual development, and says not to worry about the Terrible Two tantrums. I’m happy to be reassured that she is doing just fine!

We aren’t getting flu shots here. And Dot was actually sick for the first time a few weeks ago, if you call five days of a stuffy and runny nose sick! Poor girl had trouble sleeping because of it which made her even grumpier. The rest of the family was sick, too. But we made it through.
