Bedtime Tantrums
This evening, even though I was hurting a bit, I took Dot outside for a few minutes. Then I gave her a bath and got her ready for bed in time for me to watch House. Instead, Dot decided to have a meltdown over silly little things and screamed through most of it. She calmed down during 24 (I gave her “phone” to her so she could watch her videos) and took it away about 9:50 since she was starting to wind down a bit. I normally don’t let her have it past 9 (we usually turn the electronics off and read) but Monday night is an exception since I don’t want her attention on 24 at all, and I don’t really want to wait to watch it. =) So she turned into a flailing kicking screaming mess and after throwing things at me a few times I asked Grandma to come get her. Shortly after, she was peacefully sleeping in her room.
