Animal Babies

Dot stuffed all of her little toy animals into her onesie and started walking around patting her tummy. Is she trying to look like her Mama?

Colors of the Rainbow

This afternoon, I opened a new pack of crayons for Dot, since the others were worn down to nubs. I gave her a coloring book and she started to color with the crayons in the order they came in – red, orange, yellow – putting them back into the case once she used each one. Then she skipped a couple of crayons. I pointed that out to her, but she just looked back down and picked out the green, blue, and purple. Except for the first three, they weren’t in the right order in the case – but she knew which order the colors of the rainbow were! She colored with the other four colors, too, but off to the side a little bit, not on top of her rainbow. Both Grandma and I were speechless.

We went shopping at Publix today. Three or four people stopped to say how cute Dot was. She was perfectly happy in her stroller flirting with everyone. She was very good today.

First Lollipop

When Dot came into the salon where I was getting my hair cut, the hairdresser said she had to be mine, she looked just like me! All the ladies doted on her, and she got her very first lollipop. After just holding it for about thirty minutes, she figured out that it was something to eat, and she was amazingly neat about it. She was also very good with the chiropractor, and she got her adjustment without complaint.

Many people stopped today and remarked on how cute Dot is and that they loved her smile. Her new haircut really brings out the shape of her face. She had a great outfit on made by Vitamins. I think most of my favorite outfits have been made by that company. I’ll have to look and see what sizes they go up to, and possibly look into some new ones for her little sister.

Here she is striking a pose and showing off our bathroom remodeling project (please ignore the chili still on her face).

2T clothes

I had gotten all of Dot’s 2T clothes out t1his week, and among them were some pink pajamas with a skeleton on the front. Tonight while the others were sleeping, I was still reading, and when I turned the light out I noticed this light coming from under Dot, who was sleeping on her stomach. It freaked me out until I realized that the bone design glowed in the dark! It is so cute.

Gardening

Grandma chased Dot all over Ross today while I was looking for a dress. One will fit once I have the baby, and it matches Dot’s dot dress that her Nanna made from Grandma’s material. We will have to get another made out of it in a larger size!

I worked on my Aerogardens today. It was hard keeping Dot out of the gardens and seeds. She took off with my grow sponges, then stuffed them down into the plastic rings, tasted the seeds, and then tried playing in the water. I tried to let her help and she pushed some of the big seeds into the garden tray. Afterwards we worked on cleaning up the front bed and planting some rosemary. Dot was so good, she played just inside the fence the whole time, and never went around to the side of the house where we couldn’t see her. She had fun painting red dirt onto the walkway.
