I was starting to wonder if Dot was going to start exercising with me again instead of just critiquing my technique like she has done all week. When I got to the core portion, she decided she was going to help. It is hard doing plank twists with a toddler climbing all over you. When she finally got on top of me, she just laid down! I laughed so hard I couldn’t finish the exercise. The next one was a roll-up and she turned around, sat on my lap, and leaned back against me. So I did the roll-up like I used to with her on my tummy. Of course, there is about a fifteen-pound difference since the last time we did this!
Dot supposedly had some weight issues, since she didn’t gain between month 11 and 12. She was going through that “feed myself or not at all” phase, and since she was too interested in exploring rather than eating (unless it was floor fuzz of course) she was burning a lot more calories, too. I’ve gotten her back to eating breakfast, even though I have to fix her an egg every morning. After two months of that, she is getting interested in Cheerios again, lol. And then she went through another couple weeks of not eating much because her top two molars were coming in! She did manage to gain a little this past month, though. I really wasn’t worried and didn’t go back to the doc at month 13 for a weight check. We weigh her at home every month, and if she hadn’t gained for another month I would have gone back. She is still a healthy little squirt, although she is a bit grumpy from a vaccine shot yesterday.
