Pomme
This morning Dot was trying to say “apple” which still comes out “ahhyyaah”. After three tries she finally just said, “pomme!” I guess she’s understanding how both the English and the French word means the same thing!

Dot really loves the Brainy Baby videos. So far we have Left Brain and French. She will not move for the whole time they are on. If I don’t go sit her down she will stand in one spot for 45 minutes.
At least its the educational things that rivet her attention!
Dot woke up this morning clearly saying, “cat! cat! cat!” But when I said “cat”, she said, “meow!” She said it all day long, plus a bunch of new sounds. I don’t think signing is interfering with her language development at all. I know speech is delayed in those who learn more than one language and I don’t really want to take that ability away from her. (We study Italian at lunchtime, too – rather, I study, she listens!)
